For the last 25 years, Pangia Law Group has concentrated on representing victims of life-changing disasters, helping them rebuild their lives and restore their dignity. We have represented people who were seriously injured or killed in airplane crashes; helicopter disasters; trucking, train, and bus accidents; gas explosions; toxic torts; and nursing/group home abuse.
Michael J. Pangia founded Pangia Law firm. Bringing his experience as a licensed commercial pilot and the former chief trial lawyer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike ran the firm’s aviation practice from our Washington, DC office for before retiring.
Mike is a nationally recognized expert in aviation law and safety. His first-hand insight into the intricacies of air crash disasters has allowed him to represent victims and their families in air crash trials nationwide for many years. He was a recipient of the Attorney General Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Development of Aviation Law.
Mike’s wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment have firmly established Pangia Law Firm as a trusted authority in aviation law, with a team of attorneys and staff who have the experience and dedication to handle the most complex cases across the country in state and federal courts.

Throughout his professional career, Doug has only represented injured victims. Doug has participated in numerous complex Federal Multidistrict Litigation cases and was on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee of the Egypt Air 990 crash. At Pangia Law Group, his primary focus is on complex cases, as many of his clients have been in catastrophic aircraft or motor vehicle cases. Doug supervises a team of experts to determine precisely what happened and who is responsible. His goal is to see that his clients are compensated to the fullest extent of the law and are supported every step of the way.
Doug is based in New Hampshire. Whenever he can, Doug likes to sneak off to the woods for a hike. Before his kids graduate from college, his goal is to hike all 48 mountains over 4,000 feet in the state—he only has 35 more to go.
